Made another quilt..

I am on the roll......  I made another one to donate to the church but it turn out my older kids LOVE it and he wanted it....(he also bid for it) so it is his now...the other, boys wanted one too.  So now I have some fabric of different kind and I am thinking about making it for Christmas.  I guess I need to get going since Christmas is not to far off and need to work on it while they are in school.  Here the quilt I made it Woodland Friend ( I don't think it out anymore)  But I love the bright colors!!

That is J, my son.  It was morning and I asked him if he will hold it and he did.  Shhhh..He was only in his underwear.  I told him no one will ever know. (Now I blab..heeheeha)

Making the strips of fabric is really easy to make and it good for the beginners.  It was also quick to make.  I felt good after it was made and really proud of it since my children really love and was impress with it. 
Now I am off to finish make a stuff doll for my Nephew Solo.  He loves Star War and I will post it as soon as I am done.  Thanks for dropped by.

FINALLY!!

I finally finish the baby quilt!  And I did decided to add another border so glad I did.  It made the right size for a baby or toddler to laid on and even drag around.  I brought the border (dots) at Wal-mart and the pink border at a small fabric store.  My binder is alot different than other quilters made.  The binder was alittle too small so I did the best I could and you know I really liked it that way.  It different and I guess.. special.  I am going to donate to the Church Bazzar. I feel good that I made it and it done.  Maybe I will do another one.

The Last Few Days of Summer...

Summer is almost over and the Fall is around the corner....I love summer..I guess I will always have the Florida in me.  But I love the fall.  We have leaves changes into beauitful and bright color which you don't get in  Fl. Cooler weather, and alot activites with sport events.  But here the clip I found and made me miss home and how the weather can change quickly in a matter of time.

What Do You Think??

I made a small quilt to donate to my church.  I used one charm pack..Wee Woodland.  I had it for awhile and decided to make a small lap quilt for a baby.  I went to Wal-Mart and find a fabric that will go with it to make a border around the quilt.

I had my 6 years old put his hand so you can see how big it quilt is.

Its looks too small...uuummm. Maybe I should add another border, to make it alittle bigger.

Now the big QUESTION.  What do you think?  Is it cute? Is it blah? Or simply a nice looking small (tiny) quilt?  Or too plain?  I will Love to hear your opinion. I have not yet baste it because I have decided I might add another border.  And if I do add another border, I will post the pictures for you to see.

Getting ready for Back to School

I usually will write a black marker with their initials and be done with it.  Well, my kids are getting older and I am starting to have a little time to make stuff.  The twins will be off to Kindergarten.  They have different choice of backpack.  I decided to make a little tag with the iron on initials.  I found some wheels fabric and black ribbon and key ring. ( it what I found around the house except the letters. I got that at Wal-Mart) It was a 15 min thing.  It might be a little neater if I take my time.  But the twins thought it was COOL and AWESOME.  If it crooked and should use a black thread than the white thread it might be a little better.  But my kids thought it GREAT and I am HAPPY.  And that is all its count!!  I thought I will share what I did.

To Harry Potter Fan

I want to share this video. My kids watch this and enjoy this and laugh about it. Warning...you will be singing in your head. Me and the kids were going to the store and I can hear my oldest Ben leading the song and Jackson will said "Dumbledore" and Caleb will say "Ron"...Another words they sing it everywhere and it funny to hear them sing the whole thing..( I did have a few head turners but the kids did not notice they have an audiences)..Anyway wanted to share this to all the Harry potter fan! enjoy !

I saw this everywhere and thought I will tried...alot of people have different name..glow in your jar, light in the jar, or lighten bug in the jar.  Whatever you want to call it. It will be yours...  We have alot of lighten bugs and the kids LOVES to chase after it and catch it.  Poor bug.. But to have a free bug or no batteries here your own glow jar and it is easy to make. I had some old glow sticks leftover from Halloween.  (I broke the sticks before Icut it) Cut the ends and pour it into the jar..non-toxic..no worry here...  Shake it around and it the jar will glow and it is soo cool!!!  Night light or to take it outside when it almost getting dark.. My middle ones decided to take it to his room and sleep with it.  Go ahead make one and let me know what you think!!

Spring Time!!

Hello!!  I LOVE spring!!  Taking kids to their baseball practice and watch them play hard!!  All 4 boys!!  Yep!  I can be worn out by the end of the day!!  11 years old in Little league and 7 in Coach Pitch.  The 5 years old TWIN in t-ball.... 
I really do not put anything to much in blog.  I am one of those people who look at others blog.  I really do enjoying reading and seeing how they make things.  It my little time out for myself. 
Is there anyone reading this??  or it my little thing for myself you welcome to just said "hi".  maybe I do more ?!  who knows,  I am just doing baby step for now..  I hope Spring is being nice to you!  smile!
